We are proud to announce that Dr. Piotr Turkowski will serve as a speaker and moderator of scientific sessions at the 34th World Congress of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) in Rio de Janeiro.
W dniach 15–17 października 2026 roku w Rio de Janeiro odbywa się jedno z najważniejszych międzynarodowych wydarzeń w dziedzinie chirurgii odtwórczej włosów. Tegoroczna edycja Światowego Kongresu ISHRS (International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery) gromadzi blisko 800 lekarzy i członków zespołów zabiegowych z całego świata pod hasłem „Where Integrity Meets Excellence” („Gdzie rzetelność spotyka się z doskonałością”).
Lecture: The Patient Journey and the Role of the Surgical Technician
During the congress, Dr. Piotr Turkowski, MD, PhD, will deliver a lecture as part of the Surgical Assistants Program:
- “The Patient Journey and the Role of the Surgical Technician”
A successful hair transplant procedure and its long-lasting, natural-looking results depend on seamless collaboration among the entire team at every stage of the treatment. In his presentation, Dr. Piotr Turkowski will discuss the importance of how the surgical team’s work is organized—covering everything from initial preparation and the first patient consultation to the precise execution of the procedure, the healing process, and post-operative care.

The role of a moderator for ISHRS congress sessions
In addition to delivering a lecture, Dr. Piotr Turkowski was invited to take on the prestigious role of moderator for two scientific sessions:
- Session SA 4: “Managing situations involving patients and how to prevent them” (Thursday, October 15, 2026, 2:00 PM)
- Session SA 8: “Complex and Interesting Cases” (Friday, October 16, 2026, 10:00 AM)
An invitation to lead a session at an ISHRS congress is a distinct medical honor; Dr. Piotr Turkowski also served as a moderator during the previous edition of the event in Berlin.

Announcement of a scientific monograph from PZWL (Release: January 2027)
Participation in the ISHRS congress is part of the ongoing scientific and educational activities of Dr. Piotr Turkowski. He is also a co-author of a scientific publication, currently being prepared for release by the State Medical Publishing House (PZWL), titled: „Hair transplantation. An interdisciplinary approach ”. The premiere of a monograph dedicated to comprehensive diagnostics, treatment, and hair transplantation will take place in January 2027.
