FUE hair transplant WAW

The FUE WAW hair transplant is the most advanced hybrid method found in the world, as it transports hair follicles from the donor area to the balding areas. The DHI technique allows full control of the depth, direction, angle of the growing hair. During the hair transplant procedure, a small point needle is used, with which micro-punctures are made in the form of what is known as a “hair transplant”. punches.

As a result, any risk of hair damage is reduced to a minimum. With this modern, minimally invasive method, the doctor can retrieve individual hair follicles with little tissue surrounding them. He then evaluates the collected material and prepares it for placement in the recipient area. The patient receives local anesthesia, so they do not have to worry about the risk of possible complications. Also noteworthy is the fact that the specialist does not use a scalpel, which increases the precision of the work performed.

Indications for hair transplant

Hair transplantation is primarily for patients who suffer from androgenetic alopecia. This problem mainly affects men, but is increasingly observed in the fair sex as well. It is very important for patients with androgenetic alopecia to know the cause of hair loss and eliminate it.

The graft leaves virtually no scarring on the skin, so it works well for people who want to wear short haircuts. Specialists also recommend the FUE technique for patients with scars, as it allows to transplant hair follicles and cover unsightly lesions.

What are the contraindications to the procedure?

However, it is worth remembering that hair transplantation is a procedure that is not performed in patients with advanced diabetes, clotting disorders and unregulated blood pressure. The doctor will also advise against the transplant in the case of pregnant women and while breastfeeding. Contraindications also include taking anticoagulants and active skin lesions in the treated areas.

Pre-transplant qualification is important, especially in patients who are struggling with some diseases. Contraindications also include cancer, inflammatory skin conditions, hormonal disorders and alopecia areata.

Course of hair transplantation procedure day by day

Before the procedure, the doctor always refers the patient to a consultation, during which possible contraindications can be ruled out. The specialist can also discuss the patient’s condition and order necessary tests if necessary. He also visually inspects the skin and checks what phase the hair loss is in. The doctor also establishes the patient’s and his family’s past illnesses.

Medical history is very important, as some conditions (such as alopecia areata or androgenetic alopecia) are inherited from other family members. To enjoy a better result from the hair transplant procedure, the doctor during the consultation may also order blood tests and conduct a trichoscope examination. This will view the scalp and hair under magnification, which in turn will effectively detect the cause of baldness and eliminate it.

Once the patient is positively qualified, the doctor administers local anesthesia to negate any unpleasant pain. The specialist will shave the patient’s hair from the treated area in order to harvest the follicles for transplantation. The harvested follicles are then implanted in the recipient area, which is also put under anesthesia. During FUE transplantation, the doctor uses a thin needle, which further minimizes the risk of unpleasant pain.

The final stage of the procedure is to apply a special ointment to the patient’s skin to improve the wound healing process. The doctor will also provide the necessary information on skin care after the transplant and any recommendations.

After the procedure, the patient is instructed by the doctor on how to care for the hair and scalp. In the period from 1 to 7 days after the treatment, the hair and scalp should be washed once a day in water at a temperature of about 40 degrees Celsius. Do not use too strong a water jet. Distribute the cleanser in the palms of the hands and then wash the scalp with movements that press the transplants against the surface of the skin.

Do not massage, scratch or rub the area of the recipient site. For the first few days after the procedure, the area should be washed very gently with water and a product that accelerates tissue healing.

After washing, gently dry the head with a paper or cotton disposable towel. During this period, hair conditioners, gel, hairspray, as well as excessive exertion and exposure of the treatment site to sunlight are prohibited. Between day 8 and day 21 after treatment, gentle massaging movements can be introduced during washing. An ointment that accelerates healing is no longer applied to the donor area, but a gentle cleanser with a pH in the range of 5.5-5.8 should still be used.

Three weeks after the hair transplantation procedure, care is already less restrictive. The patient can return to previous hair washing habits (shampoo, washing style). Different types of physical activity are allowed, depending on the patient’s preference. You can enjoy sunbathing about 4 weeks after the treatment.

Of course, for each patient, these recommendations may vary slightly. Depending on the patient, the doctor also selects cleansers and agents to speed up healing.

Our doctors are qualified transplant specialists and have extensive experience in this type of procedure.

Hair transplant in Warsaw at the highest level!

Hair transplantation in the bends is by far the most popular procedure. Curves are the bane of many a man, at the same time being a source of complexes and loss of self-confidence. This is a characteristic type of alopecia, during which there is localized hair loss in the temple and forehead area. It is much less common for hair to fall out on the top of the head. After some time, fragments of hairless skin can fuse together and cause actual baldness.

FUE hair transplantation can remove the hair curves and bring good results even in cases of advanced androgenetic alopecia. During the hair transplant procedure, individual follicles are taken from the occipital or temporal region and then implanted in the recipient area. One graft can contain from 1 to 4 hair follicles. As a result, the lush hair regrows very quickly, and there is no trace of the curls.

In the case of the bends, it is estimated that it is enough to approx. 600 – 1,000 grafts with a reduced hairline. The price, in turn, depends on the severity of the problem. For a small procedure (up to 1,000 grafts), the cost is a maximum of PLN 15,000, and for a medium one (1,000 – 2,000 grafts) – between PLN 15,000 and PLN 27,000.

The crown of the head is the middle part of the head, which is why baldness in this area is such an embarrassing problem – it’s hard to hide. With advanced hair loss in men, baldness at the tip continues to increase. The hair on the sides is resistant to dihydrotestosterone, so it does not fall out and, combined with baldness on the top of the head, forms a “horseshoe” pattern.

With FUE hair transplantation, this problem can be effectively reduced. Each follicle is individually taken from the back or side of the head. So the doctor can choose the hair that will be best suited for use in a particular area.

The crown of the head requires a large number of grafts to achieve the effect of naturally thick hair. It is estimated to be 1,000 to 2,000 grafts, costing between £1,500 and £2,700.

A lush and thick beard is now one of the main attributes of masculinity. However, not all men can boast such an effect, the reason for which is usually genetic. The trouble with baldness and irregular facial hair is increasingly affecting young men.

Beard hair transplantation can involve filling in beard loss, supplementing beard density, replenishing hairless areas and covering the entire beard area. The number of hair follicles required for transplantation is always determined by the doctor during the consultation. The cost of treatment also depends on this.

Scars that result from trauma, surgery or scarring alopecia are an aesthetic nuisance that can affect anyone. Skin scars do not have elements typical of healthy skin in their structure and are devoid of hair follicles. A hair transplant in place of a scar is an effective way to hide it.

Hair follicles are transplanted from the hairy part of the body to the area that is affected by baldness ultimately in place of the scar. The cost depends on the severity and extent of the scar. For a small procedure up to 1000 grafts, it is up to 15000 zlotys, medium (1000 – 2000 grafts) 15000 – 27000 zlotys, large (2000 – 2800 grafts) – 3000 – 35000 zlotys. If, on the other hand, a maximum procedure using more than 28,000 grafts is necessary, then the cost is PLN 35,000.

Pubic hair helps protect the intimate organs from the ingress of dirt and various contaminants. Unfortunately, it sometimes happens that patients suffer from a lack of hair in the intimate area, in which case the best treatment is a pubic hair transplant. During the procedure, hair follicles are harvested using a metal barb with a diameter of 0.8 mm. The collected material is later counted, evaluated and prepared for transplantation. The procedure requires exceptional physician precision and skill.

Before and after effects of hair transplantation

Hair transplantation is a way to achieve permanent and spectacular results. Recovery requires the patient to take about two weeks to heal the wounds. After a few weeks, the patient must attend a follow-up visit to evaluate the effects. Full results, i.e. new hair growth, can be enjoyed after about 9 months.

However, it is worth remembering that the hair will grow back gradually. Hair transplantation provides long-lasting results, so it’s worth the wait for a lush hairstyle. The most important of these, of course, include the regrowth of transplanted hair and the achievement of the target length. Many patients also notice that treated hair is much thicker and shinier.

FAQs or frequently asked questions

Where is the best place to get a hair transplant?

Some people consider going abroad for hair transplantation, while at home we have specialists belonging to the largest international associations related to trichology. One such specialist is Dr. Piotr Turkowski, receiving in Warsaw. He is affiliated with ISAPS, ISHRS, and the Polish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. Dr. Jakub Kret, who also accepts in Warsaw and specializes in hair restoration surgery, is also a member of the latter association.

What does a FUE hair transplant look like?

In the case of the Follicular Units Extraction (FUE) method used at Dr. Turkowski’s Clinic, the procedure involves taking follicles from the donor area and transferring them to the recipient area. The entire procedure is painless, thanks to the use of local anesthesia. In the recipient area, the hair needs to be shaved off, and then the follicles need to be retrieved with fine needle-like tweezers. Later, punctures are made in the area where the hair is to be transplanted, and follicles are placed in them. Finally, a bandage is applied and you’re done.

How long does the effect last?

The effects of a hair transplant usually last a lifetime. The treatment does not need to be repeated, except in particularly resistant cases or when the patient wants to further thicken the hair in a particular area at a later time. By transplanting tissues taken from a patient who is both donor and recipient, the risk of transplant rejection is reduced to virtually zero.

How much is 1 graft?

1 graft is one hair follicle, or unit, from which the hair, bulb and sebaceous gland naturally grow. Follicles from which more than one hair grows are most often selected for transplantation, as this maximizes the treatment effects. Depending on the specific graft, up to 4 hairs can grow in it. Up to 5-6 thousand grafts can be transplanted during a single procedure.
